Piedmont Office Realty Trust has secured two monster tech tenants, Amazon and Applied Predictive Technologies, to long term leases at 4250 N Fairfax Drive in Ballston, VA. Both leases amount to just over 140,000 SF of the 14-story building.
Amazon, who will be moving into the building on October 1, will occupy just over 50,000 SF on the top three floors – 14, 13 and half of 12. APT, who just signed their lease earlier this month, will relocate into approximately 88,000 SF on floors 11, 10, 9 and 8 in June 2017.
Piedmont acquired the 324,000 SF building in 2003, which was once occupied primarily by CenturyLink (formerly Qwest). The building is directly adjacent to the Ballston Metro Station and just steps from a broad range of restaurants and entertainment. Approximately 65,000 SF remain available for lease in the building, including a new 5,900 SF spec suite ideal for creative, tech users which I will be featuring on TechOfficeSpaces.com shortly.
